Terms of service

Last updated: 31 August 2026 · My Lessons (https://mylessons.io)

1. About these terms

Welcome to My Lessons. By using our website or service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

My Lessons is a software platform for independent sports instructors: bookings, scheduling, payments, class packs, intake, reviews and related tools in one place.

2. Who this is for

The service is for instructors (and their team) who offer lessons or sessions. End clients mainly use an instructor’s public booking page. By booking, the client also accepts the (cancellation) terms that instructor sets.

3. Account

You need an account for the dashboard. You’re responsible for accurate details, keeping login details private, and everything done under your account. Report misuse or a suspected break-in as soon as you can.

4. Subscription and payment to My Lessons

Paid features (such as a Solo subscription) are charged as shown at checkout. Payment goes through Stripe. By paying you confirm you’re allowed to use that payment method.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel via the customer portal or the path we provide. Periods already paid are not refunded automatically, unless the law requires it or we promise otherwise.

5. Client payments to instructors

Lesson fees and class packs are paid out to the instructor via Stripe Connect (or a similar Stripe connection). My Lessons is not a bank and does not hold those amounts as its own funds.

The instructor is responsible for correct prices, VAT, invoicing end clients, refunds under their own policy, and finishing Stripe onboarding (including “charges enabled”).

6. Your content and responsibility

You stay owner of the business details, services, copy, intake questions and client data you enter. You give My Lessons a limited licence to host and process that data as needed to deliver the service.

You’re responsible for your booking page, your offer, how you treat clients, and following the law that applies to your practice (privacy, consumer law, sport/safety, and so on).

7. Bookings, waitlist and cancellations

You set capacity, waitlist, no-shows and cancellation rules yourself (or via platform defaults). My Lessons runs that logic as configured, but doesn’t guarantee every edge case will feel “right” by hand — check your settings.

End clients who want to cancel follow your policy. Where self-cancel is on, the time window you set applies.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • break the law or harm others
  • disrupt, hack or overload the platform
  • send spam or misleading content
  • try to take over someone else’s access

We may (temporarily) block accounts in case of misuse or fraud.

9. Intellectual property

Software, brand, design and content of My Lessons stay ours or our licensors’. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active and you follow these terms.

10. Privacy

Using the service is also covered by our privacy policy.

11. Availability

We aim for a stable service, but we offer it “as is” and “as available”. Maintenance, third-party outages (Stripe, hosting, email) or force majeure can interrupt the service. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, My Lessons is not liable for indirect damage, lost profit, data loss or consequential damage from using the platform.

My Lessons is not a party to the lesson agreement between instructor and end client. Complaints about lessons, injuries, no-shows or refunds go to the instructor first.

Our total liability to you is, where allowed, limited to the amount you paid My Lessons for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription via the path provided in the product. We may end or limit the service for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment or legal necessity.

14. Dutch law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law says otherwise.

15. Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we’ll inform account users where that’s reasonable. If you keep using the service, you agree to the new version.
